Chicken and Figs

This Moroccan food recipe creates a meal with chicken and fig pieces.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs chicken, skinned and cubed
- 8 dried figs, chopped
- 1 8-oz can tomato sauce
- ½ cup onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup white wine
- 2 bay leaves
- ½ tsp allspice
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions
- Place chicken in a pot and add remaining ingredients, except sesame seeds. Cover and cook in oven on low heat about 2 hours or boil and reduce heat to low simmering for 35 minutes.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
