Grilled Steak in Marinade

This Moroccan food recipe grills flank steak in a spiced marinade.
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- ½ cup olive oil
- 5 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, minced
- 5½ tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp cumin, ground
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp sherry
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 4 lbs flank steak
Instructions
- Mix first 13 ingredients in large bowl.
- Divide marinade mixture between 2 large shallow baking dishes. Add steaks to marinade, turning to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Grill steaks about 8 minutes on each side.
- Heat marinade in saucepan.
- Cut steaks diagonally into thin slices and pour marinade over.
