Haroset is a Moroccan food recipe with dates and walnuts.
- 1 lb pitted dates, chopped
- 1½ cup sweet red wine
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp cloves
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- Put the dates in a pan with the wine and seasonings and simmer until the mixture resembles a soft paste, about 30 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cool. Add the walnuts and serve.
